Intermediate Concertina Workshop with Aoibheann Queally

Intermediate players welcome at this workshop of Co. Clare concertina music.

Aoibheann Queally is a concertina player from Kilmaley, Co. Clare. She is a is a graduate of UCC with a BA in Music and has performed all over Clare, throughout Ireland and across Europe with various musicians and groups such as Crag Road. In recent years she has been teaching music to the next generation of Clare musicians while also presenting, touring and performing. In March of this year, she released a concertina and fiddle duet album with her sister Pamela called ‘Beyond the Bellows and the Bow’. The sisters’ music is heavily influenced by the rhythmic and melodic style of the Clare tradition, inspired by greats such as Martin Hayes, Galway based Kane Sisters and Chris Droney.

All welcome at the free recital from 5- 5.30pm.
