As part of the 2024 Belfast Song Gathering BelfastTrad and An Droichead have organised a Family/Children's Singing Workshop.

The Tutor:

Nuala McBride, is from a musical family in Trillick, Co. Tyrone and has been involved in Irish traditional music from a young age. To deepen her passion for music, she pursued a BMus and MMus, specialising in the performance of Irish Traditional Music. She is proficient on the fiddle, tin whistle, flute, and traditional singing. Nuala has won numerous All-Ireland medals in traditional singing and lilting, and was awarded the prestigious 'Fiddler of Oriel' title in 2012.

Over the years, Nuala has had the privilege of imparting her knowledge of Irish music through teaching in schools, Comhaltas classes, workshops, and individual lessons. She serves as an examiner for the Irish traditional music examinations conducted by The London College of Music and is currently the administrator for BelfastTrad.
