Shane Creed hails from Clondrohid, a small village in Co. Cork, and grew up dancing sets in Ballyvourney. As he grew older he became transfixed by the rhythms and energy of sean nós dancing and decided to teach himself this dynamic dance form. The style he developed centres on his use of unique steps which give his dancing his own rhythms and movements. He is often praised for the ‘soul’ he brings to his dancing.

Shane has performed all over Ireland, England, Sweden, and as far afield as Brazil. He has performed at festivals throughout Ireland; both teaching and joining some well-known musicians and bands. He is a member of the group 'Officially Tapped'.
