New Autumn 2025 Mixed Instrumental Class with Catriona Gribben.
This collaborative class is designed for intermediate and advanced players on melody instruments (plus guitar and bouzouki).
The class will:
• Teach new tunes (1–2 per week)
• Focus on session playing — building sets, smooth transitions, and playing at speed
• Develop ensemble skills — learning to play comfortably and confidently as part of a group

Led by multi-instrumentalist Catriona Gribben, a Donegal-born performer with a wealth of experience touring internationally and playing a central role in Belfast’s traditional music scene.

Catriona Gribben
Catriona Gribben is a multi-instrumentalist from the Gaeltacht region of Gaoth Dobhair, Co. Donegal. A fluent performer on accordion, piano, guitar, and tin whistle, she grew up deeply immersed in Irish music, song, and culture — a foundation that shines through in her natural, expressive style.
She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Music and Audio Production from Queen’s University Belfast and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Research. Catriona has toured extensively with the traditional band An Crann Óg, performing across Ireland, the UK, Germany, and the USA. She now plays with Huartan, The Mary Wallopers, and Lonesome George, and plays a central role in Belfast’s vibrant traditional music scene, including events at Queen’s University.
