BelfastTrad present a masterclass with fiddle player Bríd Harper, suitable for intermediate to advanced level players.

All Ireland Champion Bríd Harper with Fiddler of Dooney and Oireachtas na Gaeilge titles is one of Ireland’s finest exponents of traditional fiddling.  She comes from Co. Donegal and is much in demand as a performer and teacher in Ireland and abroad. Dermot Byrne Steve Cooney Tony O’Connell John Doyle and Sylvain Barou are just some of the musicians Bríd performs with.  She is a member of newly formed group UAINE who recently released their highly successful album “The Dimming of the Day”

In this workshop Bríd will teach tunes, demonstrate different types of ornaments and talk about her own technique.

The workshop will conclude with a free recital open to all from 5:00-5:30pm with Bríd Harper and Emer Mayock (whistle).
