Learning an instrument is only one part of becoming a musician.

BelfastTrad’s Beyond the Classroom series gives students and members of the wider community opportunities to build confidence, meet others and experience traditional music in relaxed and supportive settings.

The series brings together budding musicians, singers and dancers for relaxed sessions, focused learning initiatives and participatory music activities throughout the autumn term.

• From Classroom to Session with Sinéad McKenna
  A three-part workshop series helping musicians develop the skills and confidence to take part in traditional music sessions. Limited to 10 participants. £50 for all three workshops:

• Parent and Baby Singing with Méabh Meir
  Relaxed, welcoming singing sessions for parents, carers and their babies. Pay what you can.

• Music and Wellbeing with Dr Josie Nugent
  A three-part participatory workshop series exploring the connection between music and wellbeing. £10 per workshop.
